From Sole Practice to Partnership

18 years of growth, guided by a single conviction: every business in Kenya deserves first-class financial counsel.

Ocean Wanga Associates's roots go back to 2008, when managing partner Amos Ochieno established Ocean Wanga Consultants (OWC) as a sole-practitioner firm. The founding premise was straightforward: small and medium businesses in Kenya, the backbone of the economy, were being underserved by the financial advisory market. Quality audit and tax counsel was effectively reserved for large corporates.

Over the following years, the practice grew steadily, taking on engagements across manufacturing, hospitality, NGOs, and co-operative societies. As the client portfolio expanded and the complexity of mandates deepened, it became clear that a partnership structure would better serve both clients and staff. In November 2014, OWC was formally re-registered as Ocean Wanga Associates, a certified public accounting partnership bringing together a complement of tested, seasoned professionals.

Today, the firm has served over 500+ clients and continues to operate from its offices at the Kenya Railways Headquarters Compound, Umeme Court, Nairobi. The team's blend of experience spans accounting, auditing, taxation, IT consulting and project management, giving clients a one-stop centre for financial governance and business advisory support.
